Heart & Soul Productions at the release of Toni Ann Semple's 4th Studio Project "MY SPIRIT"

The Concert was held at The Cell 358 w. 23rd Street, New York, NY. We thought that we would get there a bit early but when we arrived it was standing room only! Fortunately, her manager Joseph Nix was able to make accommodations for us. Ms. Semple is a beautiful and amazing artist and the minute that she sang her first note, we understood why she titled her new cd "MY Spirit". With every note she touched our spirit, and dare we say, the heart and soul of everyone in the room. As we looked around we saw that every guest was totally lost in her hypnotic sound. Her music likened itself to a delicious lyrical cocktail, a fusion of Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, and India Irie but at the same time so uniquely her own. Her band was absolutely amazing as well! All in all it was an incredible night and a very enjoyable experience.  In summary we must say that Toni Anne Semple is clearly an amazing artist!!!

Harlem Week/Day 2015: A Fun Filled Event (video content by KiaExplores)

This past Sunday was a beautiful day to be out and about. Heart & Soul Productions took full advantage of the day hanging out in the Mount Vernon, a city in Westchester County New York.  For those of you that may not know, this is an annual event for the city. We arrived around 4pm and things were in full swing! There were lots of interesting people to meet. There were also lots of Heart & Soulers welcoming us with open arms and hearty handshakes. Hosting the event was representatives from Radio 103.9 NY, Power 105.1 FM and WBLS 107.5 radio stations.

We also spoke with our Muslims bothers about the "Million Man March on Washington" that was scheduled for October 10th, 2015 and offered our support. There were tons of vendor booths selling all sorts of stuff; bubble gum, lollipops, African masks, handmade jewelry, funnel cake , shaved ice. There were all sorts of food vendors selling street fair favorites like chicken, fish, shrimp , mac & cheese, french fries, corn on the cob, and collard greens! Several performance stages were strategically positioned inside certain blocks, flanking the main walkways along 3rd Street.

The Apollo Theater was represented on stage by our friend Billy Mitchell, who made it very clear that he was a proud native of Mt Vernon. He hosted an Apollo Amateur Night-like competition, that offered Mt Vernon locals the opportunity to perform and a chance to audition for the Apollo Theater's famous Wednesday Amateur Night. It was really great watching all the local talent perform as we stood alongside fellow Promoter Lincoln Sessoms. There were children's activities like, basketball, martial arts, boxing exhibitions, double dutch, face painting and arts & crafts. There were also representatives from several family health services organizations. Many top recording artists performed that day as well.  This was a good day and we can't wait to see what Mt. Vernon has in store for next year's festival!

Heart & Soul Productions at the grand opening of The Mall at Bay Plaza Bronx, NY August 14, 2014

The opening of the very first major retail mall in the Bronx was an event that we knew we could not miss. We needed to get a first-hand look at what the new mega shopping facility looked like. So we took a day and did a complete tour; we were not disappointed by what we saw.

Here what some of our followers said:

Alex Frazier 9 months ago: "This is great seeing a mall in the Bronx. Thank you NYC. Try another one down at the Hunts Point Market."

torn mask 10 months ago: (edited) "what's missing their is Hot Topic, Music n' Video Store, Toys Store, Papaya Restaurant, Mini Arcade also a Barber Shop & Women Salon! that would make it quite interesting for sure! thanks for sharing this video presentation it was really nice!!"

luis32789 1 year ago: "They did a good job with its design. Reminds me of the Eaton Centre in Toronto. I hope security takes a hard-line approach to keeping hoodlums and gangs out of there."

Heart & Soul Annual Pre-Halloween Costume Parade at St. Athanasius School

Annual Pre-Halloween Costume Parade St, Athanasius School - Church of St Athanasius. We love it when the businesses and organizations take their community into consideration. This free event is held every year in the South Bronx, at the end of October. It starts out with a grand parade through the community with a. procession that included local school marching bands, step teams, and lots of children dressed in the cutest halloween costumes! There were a number of children dressed as Bat Man, Spider Man, Super Man, and Wonder Woman. Then there was also a one of a kind 7-11 Slurpie costume, a Dunkin Donut, and a Nathan's Hot dog!

The parade ended at a local park, where there was free snacks and halloween gift bags handed out. The night climaxed with a best costume competition and several performances on the park stage.
